The B.R.I.T.

The Backer Rod Insertion Tool or The B.R.I.T. is a device manufactured from High Density Nylon, which gives it a low coefficient of friction, so it slides easily on different surfaces. The B.R.I.T. will not easily scratch or break during use on rough concrete floors or walls.

The B.R.I.T. complete kit includes a complete body and threaded swivel connection for a handle and five “skates” in the following sizes:

  • 3/32″ x 5/16″
  • 1/4″ x 1/2″
  • 1/2″ x 1/2″
  • 3/4″ x 1/2″
  • 1″ x 1/2″

Specific Uses include areas such as:

  • Expansion joints
  • Highway joints
  • Concrete tilt walls
  • Precast concrete
  • Parking decks
  • Curtain walls
